Happy New Year!

Thank you everyone for your support though 2015 and even before for some of you.

Thank you so much. We appreciate you and your time and your help.

And now it comes to the time of year when everyone starts talking about resolutions.

Another year. Another opportunity.

Just the same as every other day. Another day. Another opportunity.

In wishing you all the best for 2016, I'd like to remind everyone that every single day is another day, another opportunity. More time to do what you want.

To re-evaluate.

To try again.

To do more.

So, if you find yourself falling off the New Year Resolution wagon at any point, the next time you wake up is another opportunity to start again.

So while it is great to set goals and have plans, if life steps in and makes it all a bit difficult at times, remember you can start again. As often as you need to. There is no need to wait until the new year.

I'd like to suggest a focus on self-acceptance this year. The more we accept ourselves as we are, the less each day will be a battle. A battle with ourselves. A battle to change things that maybe will take longer than we hope, or maybe cannot be done.

By accepting ourselves as we are, we understand ourselves more, so will be able to see the areas where we can make progress more easily. Also find areas we can improve if we've been ignoring them or just unaware of them.

I have found that yoga and meditation has helped me accept where I am now. They've also helped me notice AND accept what I need to change but had been ignoring by working around it.

I will be working on my functional core this year. Not sit ups or crunches, but balance balls and stand up paddle boards. I'm hoping this will support my jammed up sacro-iliac joint and help me be more mobile in the lower back and around the hips. Without noticing my core issue, I couldn't start to improve my back pain and immobility issue.

Listen to your body.

Listen to your heart.

If you're not sure what to listen for, come along to yoga or meditation any time. Full schedule starts from Saturday, January 2nd.
