DRU Meditation Taster - 6-weeks

Come along for a taster of DRU meditation!

Yoga, as we know it in the west, was originally designed as a way to build the strength and flexibility to sit comfortably for extended periods of time to meditate. 

In these classes, Mary will start with gentle movement to loosen off through the joints, warm the muscles then move into energy releases to help the flow of prana (or chi/qi) removing any blockages with gentle movements and the breath. Relaxation is then followed by meditation. 

I loved the way I felt after Mary's class. The movement helped settle the mind and use up all the fidgetiness I had in my body allowing my relaxation and meditation to be deeper.

So come along and give it a go on Tuesdays at 9:15am:

NOTE: DRU meditation class blocks are different to Sam's class blocks so holidays will be at different times allowing you to continue your practice

Mary is a fully qualified Dru yoga and Dru meditation teacher. Her desire in running meditation classes is to share the benefits of doing meditation more broadly with others

She was previously a secondary teacher, and then a national education and training advocate.  Meditation helped me to cope with the demands of a stressful job and manage a busy workload.  Since retirement she has been focusing on yoga and meditation so that others can learn these simple techniques to enhance their wellbeing.

Older & Bolder Friday 4:30pm Sunset Yoga

Residents of Moreton Bay Regional Council aged over 50 years are invited to take part int he Council's Older and Bolder program

Free, gentle yoga classes will be held at 4:30pm on Fridays in Endeavour Park, Endeavour Esplanade Newport

Bring a mat, some water and some warm layers because it is always cooler than we think it'll be for meditation at the end of class. If you need to borrow a mat, just let me know, I have some spares.
